Martin is a cult classic psychological horror film that explores the story of a troubled teenager, Martin Mathias, who believes he is a vampire, but his condition is far more complex and rooted in psychological issues rather than supernatural powers.
Martin (played by John Amplas) is a 17-year-old boy who exhibits disturbing behavior, including his compulsive need to drink human blood. The film opens with Martin on a train where he drugs and attacks an elderly woman, believing that he must drink her blood to survive. However, rather than showing typical vampire traits (such as immortality or superhuman strength), Martin’s actions are depicted as those of a mentally disturbed individual. He doesn’t possess supernatural powers; instead, he uses knives and syringes to feed on his victims in a violent but methodical way.
Martin is a 2024 Indian Kannada-language action thriller film[3][4] directed by A. P. Arjun, from a story by Arjun Sarja, and produced by Uday K. Mehta and Suraj Uday Mehta.
